Our Pastor
Bishop Dr. Hugh Bair has been a minister of the gospel both in the United States and abroad. He graduated from the European Bible Seminary, Germany; received the Master of Divinity from the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee, received the Doctor of Ministry with Distinction from Hartford Seminary and received the Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Saybrook University, San Francisco, California. He also completed his clinical internship and a postdoctoral residency at Christian Psychotherapy Services, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Dr. Bair has served in the pastorate for over 30 years and he has been the Senior Pastor of Christian Life Church since February 2002. In his role as presiding Bishop of Christian Life Church, Dr. Bair is looking out for the needs of approximately 420 pastors, 325 churches and 100 missions in Guatemala. He also proclaims the word through the radio broadcast, “The Transformation Hour” aired twice weekly in Baltimore.
Dr. Bair is a contributing author to the following books: Issues in Contemporary Pentecostalism; Spirit Filled Preaching in the 21st Century; Oxford Sermons and Faith of our Mothers.
He is married to Fay S. Bair. Together they work as a dynamic team in Christian ministry. Additionally, Fay is the director of Women’s Ministries. Her aim is to help women discover their gifts, talents and abilities, and to utilize them for the glory of God. Fay also has the rare ability to stir her audience with anointed songs of praise and worship.
God has blessed them with two adult children – Ashley and Joshua.
Dr. Bair’s deep healing approach to ministry transcends cultural barriers. He is a gifted preacher, proclaimer and teacher- he looks forward to continuing in the ministry for years to come.
