Overview
One objective of prayer is to glorify and magnify the name of the Lord. The primary purpose of prayer is to give us yet another greater opportunity, an exceedingly important tool—to harmonize and synchronize with God’s will in any present-day situation. Another objective is to foster an intimate relationship between our heavenly Father and ourselves. Prayer is therefore used for the following things in the Christian Life: Application, Confession, Worship, Petition (for self), and Intercession (for others).
